Our Services

Providing end-to-end engineering design and workshop drafting solutions for engineering consultancies, commercial builders, architects, fabricators, and machine shops.

Engineering Design & 3D Modelling

Vissik provides engineering design across the structural, mechanical, process and civil disciplines. This enables coordinated project input where needed, while allowing us to act as a single point of contact to streamline communication and ensure alignment between both parties.

We leverage the power of parametric 3D modelling, enabling the creation of multi-configuration models to illustrate construction sequencing, operational workflows, or equipment usage. We also work with point cloud data, allowing our models to be checked against project battery limits, eliminating clashes on site. Our modelling methodology is structured around the part, mark, sub-assembly and general arrangement hierarchy, allowing project stakeholders to navigate models efficiently and obtain clear, component-level insight.

Our detailing approach is founded on clarity and practicality, with a strong focus on the key drawing attributes consistently requested by tradespeople. Our presentation standards and drafting practices align with publications from the Australian Steel Institute and relevant Australian Standards. Our stringent in-house QA processes ensure IFC drawing submissions are of the highest quality.

We employ refined line weights to achieve crisp, legible detailing, ensuring clear visibility of part interactions down to the smallest views. Critical information is presented at a glance, including painted surface areas, surface treatments, project-wide quantities, and overall transport dimensions, all essential data for office, workshop and site teams alike.

Vissik develops client-specific drawing templates and implements a bespoke numbering system to ensure that every part, weldment and assembly is uniquely identified. This structured approach eliminates cross-project contamination on the workshop floor and provides complete traceability of incoming materials from outsourced steel processors.

Our material part balloons reference the actual unique part numbers rather than generic item numbers, removing unnecessary layers of identification and reducing the need to refer to the BOM when fabricating complex, multi-sheet weldments.

We produce single-sheet part drawings, recognising their importance for part traceability and ERP system integration, as well as conformance with AS/NZS 5131.

Fabrication Aids

Vissik provides fabrication aids to support production on the workshop floor. Wrap-around templates can be supplied for all sections, with multiple scaled versions issued to accommodate for variations in printer calibration, ensuring true 1:1 dimensional accuracy. We also detail and develop templates for complex member notching, supporting precise fit-up and minimising trial and error during fabrication.

Deliverables & Project Management

Vissik’s deliverables are designed to support every department within and associated with the metal fabrication industry. We provide procurement-friendly Excel reports, offering detailed part, mark, and assembly information that can be filtered by material grade, section type, and processes such as rolled or pressed plate. Field bolt lists and summaries are also provided.

Our submission folder structure organises all parts, marks, and assemblies logically, providing procurement teams with full functionality on high-tonnage projects. We understand the information steel processing companies and other project stakeholders require. Complete file packages are supplied, including material processing files such as NC1, DXF, and 3D model exports in all relevant formats.

To ensure seamless information transfer between Vissik and our clients, we employ efficient, low data-entry project management techniques. Our shop detailing management schedules support agreed upon progressive IFC drawing releases, enabling fabricators to procure materials early and commence fabrication of long-lead items. Additional documentation, including RFI registers, drawing registers, and periodic project tracking reports, provides clients with complete transparency of project progress and milestones.
